The longest entry I have ever written in my entire life was just deleted because Livejournal secretly hates me. COOL.
I am in the biggest love/hate battle with the memories of the past year.
All I can hope for is a year of complete honesty. I say this knowing that it's virtually impossible.
This is not a depressing or pessimistic entry. It's just... there.
If I had the energy, I would post a myriad of pictures illuminating a year of discovery. But why trap it into that little space when it should encompass so much more.
I love life.

it sure has been awhile, my friends. everything with school, graduation, and the first few days of relaxation have made it so i haven't really had time to get reacquianted with my journal though writing my emotions down and having great feedback from some of my favorites would've probably helped a lot with some of the crap that has happened. i got on here thinking i was going to recall all the stupid stuff that has happened with boys, the stress of AP (minus the fun of AP Physics!), hawaii (its great ups and terrible downs), and of course the rollercoaster of emotions that came with graduation. instead, i want to stop holding onto what's happened in the past. honestly, it doesn't matter quite as much as it once did. i've kind've changed my outlook on life for, what i hope, is the better. i think it's important to realize that once something's happened you can't change it. i refuse to complain about it. it's better to focus on the future, a time you can still change. i mean, obviously the past matters but i hate brooding on it. so, i wont. :]
summer has been fantastic to me & i would not give up this (short) break for the world. to all the wonderfuls still in high school that have a schedule they're going to dread next year aka a thousand AP classes, believe me, it is SO worth it in the end! i am loving hanging out with friends everyday and just RELAXING for once. i have absolutely nothing to do for school. speaking of school, i went to Gainesville last week to visit friends and go to orientation (!!!) and boy, oh boy, am i in love with that place. i leave june 27th for summer b. i'm taking theatre appreciation and improv on social/cultural issues, both theatre courses. i'm also trying to get into this course, international relations. at the moment, it's full but that should change. honestly, this whole thing is so incredibly exciting and, of course, nerve-racking at the same time. i can't wait but i'm terrified of what's to come. ah, life.
well, i do believe this is a "so long", at least for the time being. i want to see everyone at some point before i leave so please make time for the ethiopian, kids! i'll probably update at some point if not this summer, then during my short break between summer and fall. i'll be home the weekend that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows comes out and will for sure be at the premier at Books-a-Million so go! if i don't see you that weekend, i hope you have an absolutely fantastic summer! i love you guys. ♥ |
